Trumph Motorcycle Corporation (TMC) is one of the companies under the RES Group of Companies, an offshoot of a series of business ventures which found its way to the world of motorcycle industry.
Trumph Motorcycle Corporation (TMC) has been in the motorcycle financing business since November 18, 2009 with Surallah, South Cotabato as the home of its first branch. It was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission last October 22, 2009.
Trumph stemmed from very humble beginnings of a realized dream by the forerunner, no less than Mr. Rey E. Rasay, now the Executive Vice President, whose business acumen in the motorcycle industry was rooted from his solid years in various motorcycle companies. In partnership with the Solivio’s, whose financial contribution was elemental in ushering the vision to fruition, they commenced the preliminary steps. The race was tough as the market was saturated with gigantic players who have already stamped their names in the industry.
At the onset of the business, the head office personnel were temporarily housed at the SUNRICE MILL in Surallah, South Cotabato and eventually transferred to its first operational head office in the same municipality just adjacent to TRUMPH Surallah branch at EBS Building, Allah Valley Drive, Barangay Libertad. With only seven (7) personnel in command but with eyes fixed on the goal, the team patiently paddled on, never giving up the sail. The magic seven was headed by Mr. Jackie Louie B. Solivio as the Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Christine Inge W. Solivio – VP for Finance, Mr. Rey E. Rasay as the first Branch Manager, with his team of a Collector, a Cashier, a Processor, and an Auditor. With a bare minimum of fifteen (15) motorcycle units on display, they unbolted Trumph to the market.
Soon after, the company opened its General Santos branch, followed by Marbel, Kidapawan and so on.
As part of the company’s strategic move for a wider reach, the head office was later on transferred to Davao City in February 6, 2011, specifically at Door 3 and 4, 3/F, Plug Holding Inc., Building, Rizal Extension. With the continuing growth of the company’s population fueled by hard-hitting expansion, the necessity to transfer to a bigger and more conducive office cropped up, hence, the move last August 2012 to the AMS Compound at F. Torres Street, Davao City and finally to its very own Corporate Center at 107-A A. Pichon Sr. Street, Barangay 2, Davao City starting June 2019 with the first batch of employees and onward towards August of the same year.
Underscoring market presence and positioning, expansion efforts were expeditious. Since then, TMC has been relentlessly hitting the market and staunchly gaming with competitors, both prominent and novice.
At present, the company operates on fifty-seven (57) branches and trades the four (4) renowned Japanese and one (1) Taiwanese Motorcycle Brands namely: Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kymco and one (1) Indian-made three-wheeler vehicle, the RE Bajaj.
